a stream bridge founded on hard decomposed granite. Slight

scour occurred during the last typhoon. Concrete drop walls

have been put in across the ends of wing walls and the whole

bridge floored with large stone.

Bridge No. 38. A stream bridge of two apans of

twenty foot girders founded on hard gravel. Scour took place to

a moderate extent round the centre pier, and on one wing walla.

Concrete drop walls have been put in across ends of wing walls

and the bridge floored as in the other two cases.
